This position serves as the Logistics Management Specialist supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation, Surface or Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4ISR) domains within the Acquisition Directorate (CG-9) at the HC-27J Asset Project office in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
Developing, planning, and implementing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and logistics sustainment infrastructure. Managing ILS tasks performed under development and acquisition contracts, assisting in developing cost estimates and spend plans; evaluating and reporting on contractor performance. Ensuring key ILS documents meet user and contractual requirements. Planning for resource requirements to support asset system; collaborating with sustainment managers to plan and budget; addressing issues in development and production contracts. Developing and implementing logistics policies, plans and programs. Candidates at the GS-13 level must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include:
Inventory audits, reporting results, and taking corrective action; analyzing a variety of unusual supply management and financial problems, questions, or conditions. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience):
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
