The role of this position is to perform aircraft painting operations in support of the Industrial Operations Divsion (IOD).Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.Typical work assignments include:
Preparing surfaces by methods such as smoothing, filling, shaping, and leveling with metal and synthetic resins, and mixing and applying pre-coating agents. Mixing various lacquers, cellulose, acrylic, enamels (epoxy and polyurethane) to their proper viscosity. Maintaining all paint equipment in the proper working order and insuring clean, safe and efficient work conditions. Using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to identify hazards and properties of specific hazardous materials. Insuring all surfaces meet smoothness, level and shape requirements; determining the methods, techniques, devices, and materials that are best suited for the surface finish. Will receive training from the Support Center Hazardous Materials Specialist on each of the specific hazardous materials and hazardous wastes used on the job and proper use of personal protective equipment - Refresher training must be received annually Duties are the same for all grade levels; except performed under closer supervision at the WG-5 and WG-7 level. Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired.Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
