Aircraft Mechanic Leader, WL-8852-10

This position's primary purpose is to provide leadership and/or training and perform journeymen level work for the United States Coast Guard, in Elizabeth City, N.C.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.Typical work assignments include:
Making work assignments, establishing the work flow, and setting the pace for work completion and distributing and balancing the workload. Assuring written instructions and reference materials are available and followed and that safety regulations are complied with. Demonstrating proper work methods and providing technical guidance. Repairing and adjusting a variety of aircraft mechanical systems, components, and assemblies. Tracing and locating defects and determining the type and extend of repair/adjustment needed. Troubleshooting, modifying, repairing, and testing complex aircraft electrical systems, components, and accessories. Analyzing problems and determining nature and extent of repairs, alignment, or adjustment required for complete system as well as individual equipment and subsystems. Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired.Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements:
- Ability to Lead (SCREEN OUT ELEMENT)- Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.- Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)- Use of measuring instruments- Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (includes blueprint reading)- Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment- Troubleshooting National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience):
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
