Seeking Experienced Cabinet Builder that knows how to use all shop tools and machinery and is both safety and quality conscious Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Responsible for building high-quality specialty cabinets in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand and walk through the duration of the shift, as well as, lifting up to 50 lbs Candidate is self-motivated, can read, interpret instructions and take direction with minimal guidance Use of basic hand tools to assemble custom cabinets; shapers, joiners and table saws Must be able to laminate and carpet cabinets Visual inspection of parts to ensure proper specs and quality Cross train in various work cells in the cabinet building process in order to enhance you own skill level Complete jobs as assigned by production manager and or team lead Be punctual, prepared and ready to work as scheduled or as needed Ability to cut, assemble & adhere material to a finished product Ability to problem-solve Minimize defects of materials used, as well as, informing the production manager or team lead of needed supplies or material Ability to be accurate & precise in measurement of cabinets being built Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules and standards of OSHA and company guidelines Knowledge of laminating is a Plus (glues plastic laminated covering material to plywood panel to form furniture part and smooths surface with rollers.
Wipes acetone on edges of covering and panel with rag and solvent to remove excess cement.
Examines edges of laminated part to detect ridges, and removes excess material with file or electric hand trimmer) Performs other duties as assigned Qualification/
Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in cabinet building Attention to detail and quality Ability to work as a team or individually Maintain a clean work area at all times Benefits & Compensation:
