Tool and Parts Attendant ICMS is seeking a Tool and Parts Attendant to join our team in Elizabeth City, NC on the Swing Shift 3:

Tool and Parts Attendant's primary responsibility is for the issuance of tools and equipment.
Additionally, the Tool and Parts Attendant is responsible for the following:
Setting up and shifting storage locations in consideration of factors such as space availability, turnover, and convenience of handling items.
Identification of tools and equipment and selecting for issue items described by users in terms of intended usage, recommending possible substitutes and interchangeable items, and determining when tools and equipment should be routed to appropriate shops for test, repair, and/or calibration.
Minor repair, if feasible.
Inventory of all tools and equipment at predetermined times as instructed in the Statement of Work.
The Tool and Parts Attendant shall perform all tasking in accordance with compliance requirements.
Qualifications The Tool and Parts Attendant shall possess the following minimum capabilities:
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
Shall be a United States Citizen.
Shall obtain a Contractor certified forklift license valid at the time of the commencement of work for this contract.
Knowledge of activities related to the applications within common tool control software systems.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Tools and Parts Attendant utilizing a perpetual inventory system or a minimum of two (2) years of experience with aviation type tools (tool control).
These specific minimum experience levels may be waived at the discretion of the Contracting Officer (KO) if comparable experience can be proven.
Experience in customer service and possess good customer service skills.
Proficient personal computer skills to include a strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office suite of products.
Ability to read, understand and apply trade or administrative guides such as technical manuals, instructions, etc.

Ability to, reach, bend, walk, pull, sit, stand, crouch, stoop, kneel and stretch for prolonged periods of time.
Frequently lift parts and equipment that weigh up to 10 pounds.
Ability to independently carry items up to 40 pounds or heavier with assistance from other workers or weight lifting devices.
Knowledge, skill and ability to follow appropriate safety procedures common to the trade Ability to conduct independent research Requirements:
Skills and Tasking Maintain accountability for all Government furnished tools and equipment to include all toolboxes housed within the assigned tool rooms, shops, and hangar decks utilizing the prescribed tool control software system.
Receive, store, inventory, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dyes, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment.
Maintain accurate reflection of ALC tools in the tool control software system.
Retrieve tool control and inventory documentation and daily reports from the tool control software system prior to shift change and immediately report any discrepancies to respective functional area Supervisor.
Keep records of tools issued to and returned by workers.
Search for lost or misplaced tools.
Prepare for and conduct periodic inventories, keep perpetual inventory and maintain an adequate supply of quality replacement tools that meet or exceed SAE Aerospace Standards such as AS- 954 and AS-4167.
Complete a wall-to-wall inventory of all respective division tools and reconcile with the tool control software system records no later than 31 December of each calendar year.
Complete a quarterly tool control data report and annual inventory report in accordance with Tool room Annual Inventory and Quarterly Reporting Procedures (enclosure 1 of CG ALCINST 13600.
1 series) and provide to respective functional area Supervisor no later than five (5) calendar days following completion of the inventory.
Provide requisition requests for parts, when needed, to Government personnel for procurement (e.
g.
drill bits, sandpaper, etc.
) utilizing the Division Material Request (DMR) form.
Approved DMRs shall be consolidated and applicable information kept in an Excel Spreadsheet.
This spreadsheet shall be provided monthly to designated Government personnel.
Unpack and store new tools, equipment and consumables.
Coat tools with lubricant or other preservative in accordance with (IAW) manufacturers standards.
Attach identification tags or identify tools in the tool room and mechanics'/crew toolboxes with proper numbering system using provided tool identification equipment (e.
g.
, electric-etching equipment, laser etching equipment, etc.
).
Laser-etching is the preferred method for marking metal tools; however, vibration etching may be used and is the only suitable alternative.
Tools too small to etch or made out of a material that does not allow etching must be marked in another acceptable permanent manner approved by ALC Engineering Division.
Calibrated tools shall be marked with their tool control software unique identification number.
Maintain appropriate records on a menu driven computer system.
Routinely visually inspect or measure all tools and Test, Measuring and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) for wear, defects, or proper calibration IAW USCG/United States Air Force (USAF) written instructions; report deficiencies, damaged, or worn-out equipment to functional area Supervisor.
Establish and maintain an inventory in tool control software of all active TMDE located within Tool and Parts Attendant's area of responsibility and ensure TMDE is recalibrated on schedule.
Ensure new calibration dates are properly updated in tool control software.
Run a monthly report of items due for calibration and prepare items due for calibration on a weekly basis.
Maintains copies of all current calibration certificates.
Ensure torque wrenches are verified with a calibrated tester prior to each issuance.
All tools and calibrated items that leave the ALC complex shall be documented on an DD1149 Build mechanic/crew tool boxes containing the proper tools that are to be etched and their place in the tool boxes clearly marked in the foam lining for proper accountability and tool control as outlined in paragraph 1.

Maintain a broken tool report file for two (2) years and monitor tool quality through Breakage Reports.
Broken tools that require disposal shall be documented on a DD1149 prior to disposal Issue and log numbered temporary tags for tools that cannot be immediately replaced (lost or broken).
Tag will be placed in the slot from where the tool is missing.
The tag will be returned to the Tool Room in exchange for the replacement tool Ensure all toolboxes and specialty tools issued are properly logged out and receipted for upon return.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Data and record accountability for the inventory, calibration and distribution of tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and test equipment shall be accomplished utilizing the tool control software system.
Should a new database software be mandated by the USCG, the Government will bear the initial cost of training contractor personnel on staff in the implementation of the new software package.
